Established in 2001, the .NAME domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level names remained online.

You will be able to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar company and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific rules on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
